When you iPhone 6plus dropped, if your iPhone is stuck on the Apple logo during startup and reboots, you may think your iPhone is ruined. It has been repaired once but did not fix well. To solve this problem, the first thing to do is to do a comprehensive analysis of the iphone 6plus.
First root and check the error code. ITunes error code is 4013. It will display UDID information when using I4 software to root. The showing of white Apple logo and reboot and reporting error code 4013 is because of the damage of EEPROM. But this iPhone can show UDID information, so EEPROM is not likely to be damaged.
After teardown, we find the motherboard has been fixed many times. CPU, EEPROM and USB chip are all rewelded. First clean the remaining soldering paste and observe whether these welded places has any component dropping off under microscope. After making sure no component dropping off, replace the EEPROM and root. But iPhone still reports error code 4013. The problem in CPU is less likely happen.
After checking my repairing notes, there is a same problem happens because of the short circuit of iPhone 6S power. Remove the baseband chip and iPhone displays white Apple logo and reboot later. Replace a new baseband power chip and everything becomes normal. After researching the iPhone working principles, we find iPhone 6S baseband chip communicate with CPU by PCIE bus. During the power on process, the PCIE bus will be initialized. Therefore, the improper work of baseband will lead to white Apple loge showing when power on.
Find a normal iPhone 6S and reboot it. Measure the baseband power supply when it shows white Apple logo. The power supply exists already and the working condition for baseband has been satisfied. The baseband supply's bitmap is shown in picture 2-18.
Root the faulty board and measure the baseband power supply when the white Apple logo is showing. We find that PP_0V9_SMPS1 and PP_1V0_SMPS3's power supply has been produced, while PP_1V225_SMPS2 and PP_1V85_SMPS4 has not.
That suggests there is nothing wrong with baseband power. It is very likely that the baseband chip is empty soldered or damaged. The circuit diagram of baseband power supply is shown in picture 2-19.
Remove the baseband and measure the diode data of the circuit towards chip and CPU. The data is normal. Tin the baseband chip and weld it on motherboard. Root it and everything becomes normal. Trouble is removed.

Customer sends one board only. First assemble it to testing iPhone assembly and test. After power on, iPhone will display “no SIM card” without inserting SIM card. If that happens, there is modem firmware in “about iPhone”(picture 1-40). That is to say, there is baseband.
Numbers on the back of modem firmware suggests there is baseband CPU. There is not baseband, if without numbers. Input*#06# on the dial interface without inserting SIM card. If it is normal, the same IMEI in “aboutiPhone” will show up.
If there is no response and IMEI after inputting*#06#, in addition, there is baseband firmware, so the problem cannot be caused by baseband. Displaying no IMEI after dialing *#06# is often caused by the two RFFE bus of baseband. There are four test points under NAND Flash , as shown in picture 1-41.
The four test points do not reveal any copper. Therefore, we need to use a pointed probe Multimeter to measure or scrape them. The normal diode data is between 300-400. But the RFFE2_CLK (picture 1-42) diode data is 750 which is seriously high.Picture 1-42
It is clear that RFFE2_CLK signal antenna is not normal. The diode data 750 comes from CPU. So the circuit breakage of baseband solder pad has been excluded. The normal diode data is about 400. The diode data of RFFE2 is from the DSM amplifier, and it probably caused by DSM amplifier's U_DSM_RF pseudo soldering. The material object of DSM amplifier IC is shown in picture 1-43.
Reassemble DSM amplifier and measure the diode data of RFFE_CLK. Now the data is 380 that is normal. After power on, iPhone shows IMEI when dialing *#06#. Insert SIM card and the signal becomes normal, even for several days. The trouble is removed.

These pins are on the PCIE bus, and it passes through coupling capacitor to the CPU. Ready to replace the chip, but replacing the chip requires removing the NAND flash, so we're trying to make up the pins on the chip. Scrape out solder joints, weld the jump wire, and paint the green UV oil , and then plant Tin, welding it with rework station. Well-welded chip as shown in the picture 9-5-5.
The small pins on the edge of the chip can be used to test whether it is properly welded. After welding, measure the diode data with multimeter, it is normal. Boot it and test it, the failure has been repaired, as shown in picture 9-5-6.
Finally, we can see the WIFI address on the phone, which shows the CPU has already identified the chip. The WIFI can be turn on now, as shown in the picture 9-5-7. Test it for a period of time, all is fine, send the iPhone 7 back to the customer.
